Terms of use for Signavo
Signavo tells you when to get ready for your start. This page says what you can count on, and what we expect of you. It is short because it is meant to be read.
Who you are dealing with
Signavo is run by Chris Kalmar, Denmark. You reach us at hej@signavo.dk. By using the app you accept these terms.
What Signavo is
Signavo reads the organiser's public start list and results, and tells you when your turn is getting close. It shows how many riders are ahead of you, and an estimate of how long that is. The number is a count. The time is an estimate.
An estimate is an estimate
The queue only moves once the show office has typed in the previous score, and it takes seconds to minutes before we see it. So every time in Signavo is an approximate time. It is worked out from the pace of the day, and it is not a guarantee. Signavo promises to tell you in time to get ready. Signavo does not promise when you are in.
You are the one riding. You are responsible for being at the arena on time, for following the show's own calls, and for checking the start list if something looks odd. Signavo replaces neither the commentator nor the show office. You are still the one looking.
What we are not liable for
We work to make Signavo work every time. But we accept no liability for loss following a missed or delayed start, including entry fees, transport or placings. That also applies when the cause is:
- an error or delay in the organiser's start list or timing
- no signal, a phone that is switched off, or notifications turned off
- Apple's push service not delivering a message
- Signavo being down, or a mistake on our part
Signavo is provided as it is. We give no guarantee of uptime, that a particular show is covered, or that the numbers are always right. We would rather show nothing than a number you cannot rely on.
If you have rights as a consumer that cannot be waived by agreement, they apply regardless of what is written here.
Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. The account is yours, and you are responsible for what happens on it. You can delete it in the app under Settings whenever you like. What we store about you, and for how long, is in the privacy policy at signavo.app/privacy.
Age
If you are under 13, a parent must create the account and accept these terms on your behalf.
What you may do, and what you may not
Signavo is for you and for everyone waiting with you. You may not:
- use Signavo to pull start lists or results in bulk, automatically or for resale
- try to get around our security or deliberately overload our servers
- pretend to be someone else
If you do, we can close your account without notice.
Where the numbers come from
Start lists, times and results come from the organiser's timing system, the same one the show office types into. Signavo is a product of its own and is not made by the company behind that system. We do not own the start lists, and we cannot correct them. If the list is wrong, the show office is where to go.
Beta and price
Signavo is new and in beta. Things change, and things break. We fix them. We may change the service, pause it or close it. What the app will cost is not settled. If we start charging, we say so clearly in the app before it happens, and it only happens through the App Store.
When these terms change
If we change something material, we say so in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using Signavo after that, you have accepted the new terms. The date below is the only truth about which version you are reading.
If we disagree
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes we cannot settle over email are decided by the Danish courts. If you live in another EU country, you may also rely on your own country's consumer rules and complaint bodies.
